Out of the mouths of babies…

CorbinMy neighbor Amanda Bombico in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania – where my husband and I are weekenders – home-schools her children. She recently shared a wonderful story with me. Her three year old son Corbin delivered an astounding acknowledgment to her earlier this week:

Mom, you are as sweet as watermelon!

While this post is short, the point is BIG — we are never too young to start acknowledging others and to see the power of acknowledgment in action. It’s never too early for us to let these short, cute people know how much their kind words mean to us. I’m happy to know from my neighbors’ example that children are getting such a great start and that their parents truly support and appreciate it! This positive reinforcement will ensure more acknowledgments like this one. They sure are “delicious,” aren’t they?
