Influencing When You Don’t Have Authority: A Case for Grateful Leadership in Project Management

As a Project Manager, you often find yourself in need of influencing people that don’t directly report to you; they could be stakeholders, team members, or even your manager! How does one influence without legitimate authority? Come and find out how the use of Grateful Leadership can enable you to influence those people that are outside of what would be considered a traditional span of control. Influence Up (to management), side to side (to peers), and down (to direct reports) in ways that aren’t manipulative, but express the true value of the other person in a way they will believe your message and act on it.
